Dimmesdale is an intelligent and emotional man, and his sermons are therfore masterpieces of persuasiveness. His commitments to his community are in constant conflict with his feelings of sinfulness and need to confess. In conclusion i think that Dimmesdale is the greatest sinner of them all!!
